These Gin Cocktails Will Not Give You a Hefty Hangover!
Why? HOW!? The secret stands in the ingredients…
Rumour has it that if you eat 1/2 of cucumber before going to bed when you have had one too many drinks, the next day you’ll feel as fresh as a daisy! We like to think that if you put this magic fruit (no mistake here!) in your cocktails, you could skip the not-so-pleasant midnight snack and also feel better than usual the morning after. So here are some recipes to try 😉
Love 40 Cocktail
- 50ml Cucumber Gin
- 25ml Grapefruit liqueur
- 25ml Strawberry liqueur
- 2 basil leaves
- 2 mint leaves
- A dash of Womersley strawberry and mint vinegar
- 75ml of Qcumber & mint sparkling water
Add all your ingredients to your cocktail shaker and shake rattle and roll. Then pour with a sieve into a martini glass and serve with a slice of strawberry. Extremely refined taste, perfect for a summery evening!
Muddy Muddy Boots
- 1 part Cucumber Gin
- 2 parts Qcumber ginger spring water
- 2 parts lemonade
- 1 part Pimms
- 1 wedge of lemon
- 1 slice of cucumber
Grab a long tall glass and add ice cubes, Cucumber Gin and Pimms. Then add the lemonade and top up with the Qcumber ginger spring water. To serve, add a wedge of lemon, a slice of cucumber and a straw.
The Monty Don
- 50ml strawberry coulis
- 1 tsp of Womersley Strawberry & Mint vinegar
- 25ml sugar syrup
- 6 large mint leaves
- 100ml of Qcumber mint water
- 50ml of Qcumber Gin
Add your mint leaves to a tumbler glass then add the strawberry coulis, vinegar, gin, sugar syrup and crushed ice. Top up your class with Qcumber mint and stir.
- 60ml Qcumber Sparkling water
- 60ml Gin
- 30ml sake
- 1/4 cup mint leaves
- 15ml lime juice
Add mint and lime leaves to a cocktail shaker, and muddle well to release mint flavour. Fill shaker with ice, followed by gin and sake. Shake vigorously. Fill mug with crushed ice. Finely strain liquid from shaker into mug and over the crushed ice. Top with Qcumber Sparking Water.
Qcumber Cuchee Martini
- 60ml Qcumber Sparkling Water
- 60ml Gin
- 15ml Lychee juice, and 1 lychee (from tinned Lychees)
- 1/4 tsp lemon rind
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Pour in gin, lychee juice and lemon rind and shake vigorously.
Finely strain into a martini glass, making sure no bits of lemon rind are in the liquid.
Finish by topping with Qcumber sparkling water.
Although cumbers are full of nutrients that help you stay hydrated, it is always best to drink responsibly (and lots of water too!) to avoid a headache the morning after.
