Tarquin’s Gin, Grapefruit & Thyme Ice Cream ! An oldie but a goodie! I posted this recipe a couple of years ago (before I was the Gintern) and now thought I would re-share it! It’s never too cold for ice-cream… especially if you’re eating it cosied up by a nice warm fire!

Because we have been drinking a lot of Gin lately, mass-production and the consequent standardisation of flavours has become the norm to satisfy our thirst for this juniper based spirit. Tarquin brought back the beauty of craftsmanship and we are VERY grateful for it! This gin is produced in tiny batches on the coast of north Cornwall and every batch has a slightly different flavour. Unbottling Tarquin’s gin is pretty much like opening a Kinder egg, you never know what surprise you are going to get but it never disappoints 😉
Navaswas born in a bar in Mousehole, Cornwall. After a long walk around the headland, the founders popped into the Ship Inn and noticed that whilst there were many excellent Cornish spirits, there wasn’t a choice of Cornish mixers…

I love a spicy cocktail this time of year, but this one is also really refreshing! Boatyard Old Tom Gin works wonderfully with Ginger Ale (especially Franklin & Sons). However you can try this with a London Dry Gin too, both styles are lovely. Enjoy!
