Pink gin has become a sweet and summery trend many gin fanatics know and love, but could blue become the new pink?
Blueberry gin has emerged as yet another colourful, fruity sweet gin, variations of it expertly crafted by renowned British distillers. But what exactly is blueberry gin? How is it made? And what’s the best way to enjoy it?
Here, ILoveGin explores answers to all these questions and more…
What Is Blueberry Gin?
Blueberry gins vary depending on their distillers. For example, Greenall’s Blueberry Gin is made by infusing the distiller’s Original London Dry Gin with blueberries.
Greenall’s is renowned as the original London Dry Gin, hand crafted by the oldest distillers in Britain, its recipe created in 1761 by Thomas Dakin – which hasn’t changed after all this time, and is known by only a select few master distillers.
For their Blueberry Gin, Greenall’s infuse real blueberries with their iconic London Dry Gin, offering a refreshing, smooth taste with citrus notes and hints of rich camphor.
How Many Calories Are In Greenall’s Blueberry Gin?
Greenall’s Blueberry Gin holds 207kcal per 100ml. This, however, does not factor in any mixers you introduce with the gin, which will change the number of calories in your drink.
This gin is also Kosher, vegan and gluten free, catering to a range of different dietary requirements.
It also holds no added sugar, stopping the gin from being overly sweet. This is something Greenall’s have also done with a number of other gins from their flavoured gin range.
