Gin Punch 4 Ways for Christmas Day

Christmas day is around the corner and we are so excited!! It is THE day when the whole family gets together and shares the most precious things, like gin. And what’s the best way to share gin with all your loved ones? PUNCH!

Here is a collection of the best recipes for all tastes – hot, juicy, classic you name it.

Ingredients:

  • 6 navel oranges cut into quarter-wheels
  • 6 lemons cut into half-wheels
  • 3 limes cut into wheels
  • 1 pint fresh raspberries
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle of gin
  • 410ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 300ml simple syrup
  • 120ml orgeat or almond syrup
  • 240ml of crème de framboise
  • 700ml water
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut champagne

 

Mix all the ingredients together in a pretty bowl except the champagne and refrigerate for 3/4hrs. Once well cold, add ice cubes, the champagne and serve.

hendricks-hot-gin-punchHendrick’s Hot Gin Punch 

Ingredients:

  • 700ml Hendrick’s Gin
  • 700ml Madeira wine
  • 6 lemon twists
  • 1 orange peel
  • 3 chunks Pineapple
  • 90ml honey
  • 30ml fresh lemon juice
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 3 cinnamon sticks & fresh orange slices to garnish

Simmer all the ingredients in a saucepan for about 20 mins. Serve in a punch bowl – gingerbread cookies are great with this!

Ingredients:

  • 200g sugar
  • 4 fresh mint sprigs
  • 1 vanilla bean, split
  • 1 (750-ml) bottle gin
  • 410ml fresh lemon juice
  • 1 (750-ml) bottle dry sparkling wine (champagne is best)
  • Fresh mint leaves and lemon slices to garnish

 

 

 

 

In a saucepan mix 470ml of water with the sugar, the vanilla bean and mint. Simmer until all the sugar is dissolved and leave to cool until completely cold. In a punch bowl, mix the strained syrup, 470ml of water, the gin and leave to cool for 4hrs in the fridge. When you are ready to serve add the champagne and garnish. Fill the glass with ice and pour the punch over it.

Ingredients:

  • 1.125l gin
  • 350ml maraschino liqueur
  • 500ml apricot nectar
  • 500ml orange juice
  • 1l pineapple juice
  • 200ml lime juice
  • 100ml sugar syrup (recipe here)
  • 1.750l sparkling wine
  • 2 pieces orange
  • 2 pieces pineapple
  • 4 pieces apricot
  • 2 pieces lime
  • 2 pieces lemon

Cut all the fruit and place in a punch bowl. All the ingredients and chill in the fridge for 3hrs (adjust the sweetness to taste by adding more sugar syrup). When ready to serve, add the sparkling wine and give it a stir! Fill the glass with ice and pour the punch over it.
