‘No Churn’ GIN Berry Sorbet

I don’t know about you but I have been trying to keep cool so far summer! I am a big fan of gin ice-creams (check out my last one here), so I thought I would also try a gin sorbet! This recipe is with blackberries, raspberries and Greenall’s Wild Berry Gin… it’s very refreshing!

I used frozen fruit which is absolutely fine, but you can of course use fresh! This recipe has a lovely sweetness, but you can also add more lemon if you like or even more gin!!

No- Churn GIN Berry Sorbet

  • 400g Blackberries & Raspberries (I used 200g of each and they were frozen).
  • 100g Caster Sugar
  • 200ml Water
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • 50ml Gin (We recommend Greenall’s Wild Berry Gin)

Heat the berries in a large pan with the sugar, lemon juice and water. Make sure it’s on a low heat and stir until the sugar begins to dissolve.

Simmer the mixture gently, stirring as much as possible for around for 15 minutes. You want it to thicken and look jam-like!

Cool completely, add your gin and blitz in a blender until completely smooth.

Pour the mixture into a container and freeze. I gave mine a little stir with a fork twice in 2 hours. When the edge of the mixture begins to freeze, you want to break up the ice crystals. Once it’s looking like it’s setting, just leave it in the freezer overnight!

Enjoy! To see how easy this recipe is, check my video out below!
