The perfect gin for Christmas!

6 O’clock have a range of strikingly smooth artisan gins, handcrafted in small batches, using traditional skills and only the best natural ingredients. Their Damson Gin is perfect for Christmas too!

The story

The name was inspired by a long-held family tradition of indulging in a G&T at 6 o’clock; a custom still enjoyed at the distillery and shared by gin-lovers all over the world!

Nearly 30 years ago, Edward and Penny Kain owned a fruit farm. As a sideline, they started making delicious fruity liqueurs and sold them with some considerable success. The first incarnation of the family’s gin recipe was created as a base for their delightfully piquant Sloe Gin.

Some years later, Michael and Felicity took over their parents’ now prosperous distillery. Guided by the family expertise in liqueurs, they set about perfecting the gin recipe. The wonderful flavour of 6 O’clock Gin emerged through experimentation: carefully selected botanicals, precisely balanced for a refreshingly clean taste.

6 O’clock’s roots are firmly in their home city of Bristol, and they’re now exporting to Europe, USA, Canada, Southeast Asia and beyond. After all, it’s always 6 o’clock somewhere!

The Gins

6 O’clock London Dry Gin

Strikingly Smooth 6 O’clock Gin London Dry has a clean flavour led by Juniper. The smoothness flows from their custom-built copper still with its unique double sphere head, together with the careful selection of their botanicals and distiller’s craft. Only the pure heart of each run makes the cut.

6 O’clock Damson Gin

Like Sloe gin, this Damson is hand made in the traditional way; in small batches, using hand-picked British damsons and a moderate amount of sugar. They slowly mature an abundance of damsons in their London Dry. The fruits combine with the smoothness of the gin to give an intense fruity dryness.

6 O’clock Sloe Gin

Their Sloe gin is made in small batches using hand-picked, wild, hedgerow sloes. The intense fruit flavour of this traditional classic is achieved by using a high sloe to gin ratio, plenty of sugar, then patiently and slowly maturing for at least 6 months.

6 O’clock London Dry Gin

Exquisitely Engineered 6 O’clock Gin Brunel is an export strength expression of their classic London Dry gin. Distilled with more juniper and 6 additional botanicals for a more complex flavour profile.
