Karl and Cathy Mason always had an unwavering belief that, when it came to gin, doing things the right way without compromise would lead to the very best outcome. And thus, on World Gin Day in 2013, Yorkshire’s first gin, Masons of Yorkshire, was born.

Despite launching only 7 years ago, the Masons range of gins have won some of the most prestigious awards worldwide. History – both near and far played a significant role in the development of Yorkshire’s first gin and the driving force was simply a passion for exceptional tasting gin and doing things properly.  

Working with a distilling expert – and friend – Karl and Cathy sought to absorb as much knowledge about distillation as possible before creating their own. Setting this as their benchmark, Masons has quickly expanded its range to include Tea Edition (distilled with Yorkshire Tea, of course), English Lavender, Pear & Pink Peppercorn and, most recently, Orange & Lime Leaf.  

Masons was born of quality. Every batch of Masons gin produced has a tasting panel who are responsible for ensuring the quality never waivers (sounds like a great job!).

Masons newest edition, Orange & Lime Leaf leads with unmistakable orange citrus flavours and complemented by exotic kaffir lime leaf to create a gloriously refreshing gin.

TASTING NOTES – Juniper, orange & kaffir lime leaf are perfectly balanced for a punchy and fragrant gin and a long, dry finish.

PERFECT SERVE – For the perfect gin & tonic, Masons recommend serving with plenty of ice, premium Indian tonic water and garnishing with lime zest.

MASONS THE ORIGINAL GIN

TASTING NOTES – Hints of juniper and punchy citrus are smoothed with fennel and cardamom, followed by a warm peppery finish.

PERFECT SERVE – Masons recommend serving The Original Gin with plenty of ice, premium Indian tonic water and garnishing with a twist of orange zest. Alternatively, Masons The Original is a perfect partner to Aromatic tonic water.

MASONS TEA EDITION GIN

TASTING NOTES – Subtle notes of cardamom and coriander spice are lifted by lemon citrus, leading to a long, dry, black tea finish.

PERFECT SERVE – For a highly refreshing G&T, Masons recommend serving with plenty of ice, premium Indian tonic water and garnishing with a twist of lemon zest or fresh mint. Masons Tea Edition Gin is also ideal base for the driest of martinis.

MASONS PEAR & PINK PEPPERCORN GIN

Sweet, crisp conference pears are partnered with the gentle warmth of pink peppercorns creating a beautiful, elegantly balanced gin.

TASTING NOTES – Light and sweet pear, leading to hints of pink peppercorn and rose.

PERFECT SERVE – For the perfect G&T, Masons recommend serving with plenty of ice, premium Indian tonic water and garnishing with sliced green apple or kiwi fruit. Alternatively, our Masons Pear & Pink Peppercorn pairs beautifully with Mediterranean tonic water.

MASONS ENGLISH LAVENDER GIN

This unique innovation created a beautifully balanced gin and since launching in 2015, Masons Lavender Edition has never looked back.

TASTING NOTES – Subtle notes of juniper with aromatic lavender undertones, lifted with lime and sweet citrus.

PERFECT SERVE – For the perfect G&T Masons recommend serving with plenty of ice, premium Indian tonic water and garnishing with a twist of lime zest or a sprig of lavender. Alternatively, our Masons Lavender Edition is great with Mediterranean tonic water or premium Ginger Ale.
