Pear Gin Smash Cocktail 🍐
Pear Gin Smash recipe
50ml Gin (we recommend Masons Pear & Pink Peppercorn)
50ml Pear Purée (recipe below)
Tonic Water (we recommend Double Dutch Pomegranate & Basil)
A couple of slices of pear and sprig of basil to garnish (optional)
For the Pear Puree:
1 pear, peeled and diced
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp water
Make the pear puree – heat all the ingredients in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Simmer until the pears are soft, about 5-10 mins. Remove from the heat and let cool. Mash up with a fork.
For the cocktail – add the gin and pear puree in a shaker with ice cubes and shake. Double strain into a glass (make sure to get all the juice out using the back of a spoon) with ice. Top with the tonic and garnish with pear slices and basil.
