Adding a bit of fresh orange juice and couple of splashes of bitters to your G&T creates a wonderful summer cocktail! Super easy and particularly tasty with Boë Scottish Gin and Artisan Drinks Co Skinny Tonic Water!IMG 0944

It’s getting to that time of year when the sun is out, friends come round for a BBQ and the gins are flowing. I like to make different gin cocktails for these occasions and this one always goes down wonderfully as a welcome drink! I would suggest a nice juniper heavy, citrus forward gin for this cocktail. Due to the sweetness of the fresh orange, a lighter tonic is perfect too. You could also make this recipe with Blood Oranges when they are available too! Yum!

Juicy Orange Gin and Tonic recipe

  • 40-50ml Gin (I recommend Boë Scottish Gin)
  • 50ml freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Couple dashes of Orange Bitters (the normal Angostura Aromatic Bitters work well too if you don’t have orange)
  • Top up with tonic water (I recommend Artisan Drinks Co Skinny Tonic Water)

Method

Fill a tumbler sized glass (or highball for a slightly longer drink) with ice. Add the gin, orange juice and bitters. Top with tonic and stir. Garnish with an orange slice.

Enjoy!
